Introduction:

Extremely rare!

At the 1993 Lunar New Year Cup, the Hong Kong League XI competed for the title against three visiting teams: the Switzerland national team, the Japan national team and Denmark U21. The Hong Kong League XI eventually lost 3–2 to Switzerland in the final and finished as runners-up.

There is a small story behind this No. 7 shirt. Before the tournament, when the Hong Kong Football Association arranged a team photo shoot for the Hong Kong squad at So Kon Po Football Ground, most of the players were not wearing shirts with their own assigned numbers.

This included “Wo Gor” and Yau Kin Wai, known as “Ah Yau,” who wore No. 20 and No. 7 respectively. However, during the official matches, “Wo Gor” and “Ah Yau” wore No. 7 and No. 2 respectively.
