Official Auction Rules

bid3bid4 Official Auction Rules

1. Introduction

Welcome to bid3bid4.

These Official Auction Rules explain how bidding works on bid3bid4. By registering an account, placing a bid, or participating in any auction, you agree to comply with these Rules, together with our Terms of Service, Payment & Delivery Policy, and After-sales & Disclaimer.

All auctions are conducted in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD).

2. Auction Information

Each auction listing may include:

  • Start Bid
  • Fixed Increment
  • Bid Start Date
  • Bid End Date
  • Reserve Price (if applicable)
  • Popcorn Bidding (Auto Extension), if applicable
  • Product description and condition
  • Delivery information

Please read each auction listing carefully before placing a bid.

3. Placing a Bid

By placing a bid, you are making a binding offer to purchase the Auction Item if you become the Winning Bidder.

All bids are generally final. Once submitted, bids cannot normally be cancelled, withdrawn or amended.

The minimum next bid is determined by the applicable Fixed Increment.

4. Fixed Increment

The minimum next bid is determined according to the following Fixed Increment table.

Current Auction Price (HKD)

Fixed Increment

HK$0 – HK$199

HK$10

HK$200 – HK$499

HK$20

HK$500 – HK$999

HK$50

HK$1,000 – HK$1,999

HK$100

HK$2,000 – HK$29,999

HK$200

HK$30,000 – HK$50,000

HK$500

Where the current auction price is exactly at a price boundary (for example HK$200, HK$500, HK$1,000, HK$2,000 or HK$30,000), the higher Fixed Increment of the next price range shall apply.

5. Proxy Bidding

Proxy Bidding allows you to enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an Auction Item.

The system will automatically place bids on your behalf using the applicable Fixed Increment, only when necessary to maintain the highest valid bid.

Your maximum Proxy Bid remains confidential and is never displayed to other bidders.

The final winning price may be lower than your maximum Proxy Bid. You will only pay the amount required to win the Auction according to the Fixed Increment rules.

6. Reserve Price

Some Auction Items may have a Reserve Price.

The Reserve Price may not be displayed publicly.

If the highest valid bid does not meet the Reserve Price, bid3bid4 reserves the right not to complete the sale and may cancel the Auction result or re-list the Auction Item.

7. Popcorn Bidding (Auto Extension)

Some Auctions use Popcorn Bidding (Auto Extension) to provide bidders with additional time to respond to last-minute bids.

For Auctions with this feature enabled, Popcorn Bidding becomes active during the final five (5) minutes before the scheduled Auction closing time.

If a valid bid is placed during the final five (5) minutes, the Auction will automatically be extended once only by an additional five (5) minutes.

Only one (1) automatic extension will be applied to each Auction. After the extended Auction period expires, the Auction will close at the revised end time regardless of whether additional bids are placed during the extension period.

The revised closing time displayed by the auction system shall be regarded as the official Auction end time.

8. Auction Closing

When an Auction ends, the highest valid bidder will normally be confirmed as the Winning Bidder, subject to:

  • Reserve Price requirements (if applicable);
  • successful payment;
  • system records; and
  • platform verification.

The auction records maintained by bid3bid4 shall be regarded as the official Auction results.

9. Payment

Winning Bidders must complete payment within 48 hours after the Auction ends or after receiving the winning notification.

A payment reminder may be sent approximately 12 hours after the Auction ends.

If payment is not received within the required time, bid3bid4 may:

  • cancel the Winning Bid;
  • cancel the order;
  • suspend or restrict the bidder’s account;
  • offer the Auction Item to an eligible Runner-up Bidder; or
  • re-list the Auction Item.

10. Runner-up Bidders

If the Winning Bidder fails to complete payment or becomes ineligible, bid3bid4 may offer the Auction Item to up to two (2) eligible Runner-up Bidders in sequence before deciding to re-list the Auction.

Runner-up Bidders are subject to the same payment deadline and conditions as the original Winning Bidder.

11. Fair Bidding

To ensure a fair Auction environment, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Fake bidding
  • Shill bidding
  • Self-bidding
  • Bid manipulation
  • Collusion
  • Malicious bidding
  • Using multiple accounts to influence Auction results
  • Any other activity that unfairly affects an Auction

bid3bid4 reserves the right to cancel bids, suspend accounts or cancel transactions where suspicious or unfair activity is detected.

12. Consecutive Bidding

To promote fair bidding, the current highest bidder may not be permitted to place another bid unless another bidder has first submitted a higher valid bid.

13. Bidder Identity

Usernames may be displayed during an Auction.

Where available, bidders may choose to hide their bidding identity from other users. Choosing to hide a username does not affect the validity of any bid or the Auction result.

14. Delivery

Successful Auction purchases must be completed through the website checkout process.

Delivery charges, insurance and any applicable shipping arrangements will be confirmed during checkout or before dispatch where necessary.

Please refer to our Payment & Delivery Policy for full details.

15. Amendments

bid3bid4 reserves the right to amend or update these Official Auction Rules at any time.

Any revised version will become effective immediately upon publication on the website.

By continuing to use bid3bid4 after any amendment, you agree to the updated Official Auction Rules.
